Someone at home may need to know when you are working, without needing the notes behind a shift. DutyNest's optional household calendar is designed around that distinction.
Premium provides optional Sync and one privacy-limited household calendar. Store pricing and eligibility are shown by the relevant store before purchase.
One read-only household view
A Premium rota owner can invite one household viewer to a limited calendar. The shared view includes relevant shift or leave dates, times, labels, rest days and leave status. It is not a shared editing workspace or an employer's team roster.
Keep detailed records out of the projection
Notes, colleague or crewmate names, overtime codes, payroll codes and balance records are excluded from the household view. Even a limited schedule can be personal information, so choose the recipient carefully and review access when your circumstances change.
Separate sharing from offline use
Household sharing depends on the optional account/Sync capability and an active Premium owner. Core local rota planning remains available without it. Synchronisation needs connectivity; a viewer should not treat an older calendar view as confirmation of a last-minute change.
A practical way to start
- Review the available Account and sync controls and privacy information.
- Enable optional Sync deliberately and check the intended household recipient.
- Use the read-only view for personal coordination, checking important changes directly.
Can a manager use this to edit a whole team's shifts?
No. This is a limited personal household view, not staff scheduling, employer access or a team-management integration.
